Marcus Annaeus Seneca was Roman scholar, writer and historian (c. 54 bc – c. ad 39). Lucius Annaeus Seneca the Elder, also known as Seneca the Rhetorician, was a Roman writer, born of a wealthy equestrian family of Corduba, Hispania.
